Once you arrive at your destination, your eSIM should automatically activate and start working! You’ll know it’s working if:

• 📶 Signal bars appear for your eSIM line.
• 🌍 Mobile data works when Wi-Fi is turned off.
• ⚙️ On Skratch, your eSIM shows as Active in the 'My eSIMs' tab.
• 📲 You’ve received a confirmation email or mobile push from Skratch

You’ll be able to follow our simple activation instructions in the Skratch app directly, but in case you think your eSIM hasn’t been properly activated, here’s how to resolve it:

How to activate on iPhone

• Go to Settings > “Cellular” or “Mobile Service” 
• To ensure your eSIM is active, tap on your Skratch eSIM > Ensure “Turn On This Line” and “Data Roaming” are both enabled
• Go back and tap "Cellular Data” or “Mobile Data” -> Select your eSIM 
• Make sure “Allow Cellular Data Switching” is turned off

Your primary plan will remain your default voice line but if you want to switch it off for mobile data only then do as follows:

• Go to Settings > “Cellular” or “Mobile Service” 
• To switch off mobile data for your Primary plan, tap on “Primary” > Ensure “Data Roaming” is disabled
• If you also want to switch off receiving SMS and calls, you can disable “Turn On This Line” as well 

How to activate on Samsung Galaxy

• Go to Settings > Tap “Connections” > Tap “SIM Manager”
• Turn off your personal SIM to avoid any roaming charges 
• Turn your Skratch eSIM plan on > Select this eSIM in “Mobile data” 
• Go back to “Connections” > Tap on “Mobile networks” then “Turn on data roaming” for your brand new eSIM

How to activate on Google Pixel

• Go to Settings > Tap “Network & Internet” > Tap “SIMs”
• Tap your Skratch eSIM > Enable “Use this “SIM” > Toggle the eSIM switch to On and Confirm
•  Enable “Mobile Data” then “Data Roaming”

How to activate on Huawei

• Go to Settings > Tap “Mobile Networks” > Tap on “SIM Management”
• Set up your Skratch eSIM as “Default mobile data” > Deactivate your Primary plan
• Tap your Skratch eSIM > Select the “eSIM” option is enabled -> Tap your eSIM

How to activate on Oppo

• Go to Settings > Tap “Mobile Network” 
• Disable your Primary plan to avoid roaming charges 
• Tap “eSIM” > Enable button next to it > Tap dots next to “Data eSIM” of your Skratch eSIM and Enable
• Go back to “Mobile Network” > Select your eSIM > Turn on the Enable switch > Toggle “Data Roaming” on

How to activate on Xiaomi 

• Go to Settings > Tap “Mobile Networks” 
• Check “Use eSIM” is activated > Disable Primary plan
• Choose your Skratch eSIM > Tap “Turn On”
• Go back to “Mobile Networks” > Tap “Data Roaming” then “International Roaming” > Tap “Always”

How to activate on OnePlus

• Go to Settings > Tap “Mobile Network” 
• Disable your Primary plan to avoid roaming charges 
• Tap “eSIM” > Enable button next to it > Tap dots next to “Data eSIM” of your Skratch eSIM and Enable
• Go back to “Mobile Network” > Select your eSIM > Turn on the Enable switch > Toggle “Data Roaming” on
