How do I solve a PDP authentication error?

A PDP authentication error usually appears when your phone can’t connect to the mobile network using your eSIM. This often happens because your APN (Access Point Name) settings are missing or incorrect.

How to resolve a PDP authentication error

Option 1: Reset your network settings

  • On iPhone: Go to “Settings” > “General” > “Transfer or Reset iPhone” > “Reset” > "Reset Network Settings” > Restart your device
  • On Samsung Galaxy: Go to “Settings” > “General management” > “Reset” > “Reset network settings” > Choose your eSIM and tap “Reset settings
  • On other Android: Go to “Settings” > “System” > “Reset options” >  “Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth” > Restart your device

Option 2: Check your APN settings

  • More detail on that here

Option 3: Check eSIM Data

  • If you're using an eSIM, double-check that you have remaining data via the Skratch app “My eSIMs” tab. If you’ve run out of data you can top up.
