Congrats, you’ve purchased an eSIM! You’ll be able to follow our simple installation instructions in the Skratch app directly, but in case you need additional reference we’ve included a complete installation guide here. 

Remember before you install: 

• Ensure you have a reliable WiFi connection to install your eSIM
• Keep your QR code handy if you can’t use direct installation options
• Ensure your device is unlocked and fully compatible with eSIMs

How to install on iPhone

Direct

• Find your eSIM in the Skratch “My eSIMs” tab
• Tap “Install now”
• Tap “Allow” > Tap “Continue”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

QR Code

• Go to Settings > Tap “Cellular” or “Mobile Service” 
• Tap “Add eSIM” > “Use QR code”
• Tap and hold your QR code directly on your device or scan it with another device > Tap “Continue”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

Pro tip: Holding your finger down on the QR code will trigger direct install on iOS

Manual

• Go to Settings > Tap “Cellular” or “Mobile Service” 
• Tap “Add eSIM” > “Use QR code” > “Enter Details Manually"
• Copy and paste the SM-DP address and Activation Code you see on Skratch
• Tap “Next” > Tap “Continue” when the Activate eSIM screen appears 
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

How to complete installation on iPhone

Once your eSIM is installed, your iPhone will show you a few further setup screens:

• Plan Label: Customize the name of your eSIM for easy reference (i.e. “Spain eSIM”)
• Mobile Data: Set to your brand new eSIM! If you are installing before you travel, you can keep this as “Primary” and then switch later
• iMessage & Facetime: Same as default line, keep this set to “Primary” 
• Default Line: Keep your “Primary” plan as your default line to continue to receive calls and SMS even whilst using your eSIM for mobile data

How to install on Samsung Galaxy

Direct

• Find your eSIM in the Skratch “My eSIMs” tab
• Tap “Install now”
• Tap “Allow” > Tap “Add”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

QR Code

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Connections”
• Tap on “SIM Manager” > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Scan your QR code with another device > Tap “Add”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

Manual

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Connections”
• Tap on “SIM Manager” > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Tap “Scan QR code” > Tap “Enter activation code” 
• Copy and paste the full activation code you see on Skratch > Tap “Add”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

How to install on Google Pixel 

QR Code

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Network & Internet”
• Tap the “+” icon > Choose "Download a new eSIM”
• Scan your QR code another device > Tap “Download”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

Manual

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Network & Internet”
• Tap the “+” icon > Choose "Download a new eSIM”
• Tap “Need help?” > Tap “Enter it manually” 
• Copy and paste the activation code on Skratch > Tap “Continue” then “Download”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

How to install on Huawei 

QR Code

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Networks”
• Tap “SIM Management” > Tap "Add eSIM” > Enable the eSIM option > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Scan your QR code with another device > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

Manual

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Networks”
• Tap “SIM Management” > Tap "Add eSIM” > Enable the eSIM option > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Tap “Enter manually” 
• Copy and paste the SM-DP address and Activation Code you see on Skratch > Tap “Next” then “Add eSIM”

How to install on Oppo

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Network”
• Tap “eSIM” > Toggle on the eSIM switch > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Scan your QR code with another device > Tap “Download”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

Manual

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Network”
• Tap “eSIM” > Toggle on the eSIM switch > Tap “Add eSIM”
• Tap “Next” > Tap “Need help?” then “Enter it Manually" 
• Copy and paste the activation code on Skratch > Tap “Continue” then “Download”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

How to install on Xiaomi  

QR Code

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Networks”
• Tap “Use eSIM” > Tap “Manage eSIM” > Go to “Add mobile plan” 
• Scan the QR code in your eSIM order confirmation email with another device > Tap “Add” then “Continue with Activation” 
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

Manual

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Networks”
• Tap “Use eSIM” > Tap “Manage eSIM” > Go to “Add mobile plan” 
• Tap “Add manually instead”
• Copy and paste the activation code on Skratch > Tap “Ok” then “Add” then “Continue with Activation”
• Your eSIM should be installed if you have a stable connection 

How to install on OnePlus 

QR Code

• Go to Settings > Tap on “Mobile Network”
• Tap “eSIM” > Toggle on the eSIM switch > Tap “Add eSIM” then “Next”
• Scan your QR code with another device > Tap “Download”
