How do I avoid roaming charges?

To ensure you don’t incur any roaming charges while using your Skratch eSIM, we generally recommend two precautions:

1. Install your eSIM before your trip - This ensures your eSIM will automatically activate on arrival at your destination without accidentally using your local carrier. More details here.
2. Switch off your Primary plan - In your device settings, ensure your local carrier plan is either off entirely or only being used for voice (not mobile data). More details here.
