How do I add memories to my map
Adding memories to your Skratch map is a fun way to make your travels even more personal. With just a few taps, you can add photos and videos to countries you’ve been to and relive those memories. In this article, we’ll explain how to add those memories to your map in a few taps.
How to add memories to your Skratch map
Option 1: Add memories via the "+" button
- Open your map
- Tap the “+” icon in the bottom-left corner and select “Add Memories”
- Choose a tab:
- My Location → See photos and videos taken where you are right now
- **All Memories **→ Browse all your photos (filter by country or manually add a location if needed)
- Tap on the photo(s) or video(os) you want to add
- Tap Add
- All Set!

Option 2: Add memories via countries on the map
- Tap directly on a country you’ve visited
- Select “Add Memories” from the menu
- Tap on the photo(s) or video(os) you want to add
- Tap Add
- Done!

How can I add a location to a memory?
Skratch uses location data from your camera roll to display photos and videos by country in the app. If your content doesn’t have location data included, it won’t appear categorized. To check if your content has location data, swipe up on a photo or video to see its metadata.
If a photo doesn’t have location data, you can still add it to your map:
- Go to ‘All Memories’
- Filter by ‘No location data’
- Select the photo
- Tap ‘Add a location’ in the top-left corner
- Choose the country where the memory belongs

How can I see the memories I added?
Once you’re back on the map, you’ll see a pin on the country where you’ve added a memory. Tap the pin to view all memories for that country and even add more whenever you like by selecting ‘Add memories’.

What if I want to delete a memory?
- Tap the pin on the country where you added a memory
- Choose the memory you wish to delete
- Tap the "trash can icon" 🗑️ at the top-right corner
