As of mid-2025, Turkey’s telecom regulator (BTK) has placed restrictions on many international eSIM providers and blocked people from inside Turkey from downloading new eSIM plans. The good news is you can still use an eSIM but with some important caveats.

How to avoid eSIM problems in Turkey

• *Get your eSIM before travel*** - **Purchase and install your Skratch eSIM while you're in your home country or somewhere outside Turkey, so you don’t rely on accessing a blocked site once inside Turkey.

• *Save your QR code or installation instructions offline*** - **Having the QR or manual setup details lets you reinstall or deactivate/reactivate without needing online access in case the Skratch app is blocked
